Proud to announce the publication of a new article I wrote with Adam Ladzinski and Aman Thind, “Rational Fluid Resuscitation in Sepsis for the Hospitalist: A Narrative Review”, now appearing in Mayo Clinic Proceedings.
Managing the quasi-unstable patient on the medical floor without the benefits of advanced hemodynamic monitoring and vasopressors is certainly a challenge. Risks of fluid overload are hard to overstate.
Here, we propose a method to address resuscitation based on the best available evidence.
(In case that fails, here’s the permanent link!)
Check it out soon as it will be behind a paywall starting September 24.
