In this video (talk originally given on our fellow education day), I discuss possible endpoints of resuscitation in septic shock as well as some of their limitations.
The message from the beginning of the video is probably the most important: the things we can measure aren’t necessarily the things that matter.
Until we can achieve those endpoints that most matter to patients, we’re probably best off making choices that are rational, systematic, and physiologic.
